The Training Network, Inc., an EPA-Accredited Renovation, Repair, and Painting Program (RRP) Training
Provider, is a nationally recognized organization that provides
Lead-Safe Work Practices training throughout the USA. Since 2003, our team has
trained over 19,000 individuals in the 2003 Joint EPA/HUD Lead-Based Paint
Training Program for Renovators and Remodelers.
After April 2010, a new federal
law will require Contractors who perform renovation, repairs, and painting jobs
in pre-1978 housing and child-occupied facilities to become EPA Lead Certified Renovators. The Training Network, Inc.
is pleased to announce that we are launching two new training courses that will
enable Contractors and Renovators to satisfy the new Federal requirement:
·
An Initial course for those who
have not completed previous Lead-Safe training
·
A Refresher course for those who
were previously certified
The Initial course is a one-day course that will provide the training necessary
to satisfy the Federal requirement. The Initial course will last approximately nine
hours,
The Refresher course is targeted to those individuals who previously
completed the 2003 Joint EPA/HUD Lead-Based Paint Training Program for
Renovators and Remodelers. It will
include the latest updates to material covered in the previous course, and will
satisfy the new Federal requirement. The Refresher course will last
approximately four and one-half hours.
These courses are primarily directed towards renovation, repair, and painting contractors to teach them how to work
safely in facilities with lead-based paint, and to comply with both EPA's
Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule, and HUD's Lead Safe Housing
Rule. The courses are also
valuable to people who work in state and municipal agencies, community and social
service organizations, and home (or code) inspection companies. The
information presented in the training will be beneficial to others in the housing
industry, including sales, marketing and administrative personnel as well as
workers and supervisory staff.
The Training Network, Inc. will provide all classroom and hands-on
materials. We will also provide the EPA with official notification that
individuals have completed the training courses.
Anyone requiring this training is invited to attend. If you have an
interested group at your location, or would like to sponsor a training event,
but do not see a conveniently scheduled class date, please contact us to
arrange a special presentation. We will be happy to accommodate your request.
